Greetings from the World Allergy Organization!

EAACI-WAO World Allergy and Asthma Congress 2013 – A great success!

From 22-26 June 2013, in Milan, Italy, 7,700 delegates gathered from 110 countries for the XXIII World Allergy Congress held jointly with the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), the EAACI-WAO 2013 Congress. I would like to take this moment to highlight the many successes of this meeting and to thank those that made this successful Congress a reality. Read more>>

 

Thank you for attending EAACI-WAO World Allergy and Asthma Congress!

More than 7,700 delegates from 110 countries participated in the Congress which offered a scientific program with 425 speakers in 341 sessions.

2013 Central American Allergy Congress
7-10 August 2013
Guatemala City, Guatemala

The Central American Allergy Congress will be held on 7-10 August in Guatemala. WAO and the Emerging Societies Program are excited to send, Board Member, Dr. Dana Wallace, and President-Elect, Dr. Lanny Rosenwasser to attend the Congress as WAO Speakers. Dr. Wallace will be speaking on “Anaphylaxis: Causes, Diagnosis, and Treatment” and “Asthma vs. COPD for the Clinician." Dr. Lanny Rosenwasser will speak on “Small Airways Disease: Pathogenesis to Particle Deposition for Treatment” and the “Interrelation between Innate Immunity and the Activation of T Cells in Allergic Diseases.”

World Allergy Training School (WATS) and WAO Symposium on Severe Allergies
15 June 2013
Jakarta, Indonesia

On 15 June 2013, the Emerging Societies Program (ESP), a joint initiative of the World Allergy Organization (WAO) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) along with the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology (APAPARI) held a World Allergy Training School (WATS) at the Indonesia Allergy Society Congress. The Training School was a great success with over 30 participants. A special thank you to speakers: Prof Ruby Pawanakar, Prof Hugo Van Bever, Prof Bee Wah Lee, Prof Paul Bigliardi, Prof James Sublett and Prof Heru Sundaru. In addition, WAO presented a Plenary Session on Severe Allergies. A special thank you to our hosts, the Indonesia Allergy Society.
