Anahi Yañez is the Medical Director of InAER, Research Center for Allergy and Respiratory Diseases, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, since 2006,
She graduated from Universidad Nacional del Nordeste ( UNNE), School of Medicine, in 1982 and became Specialist in Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Yañez has a Master in Pharmacological Research from Universidad Abierta Interamericana. She started her non-stop clinical research work in 2009.
She has authored several articles in international publications.
She has served as President of Asociacion de Alergia, Asma e Inmunologia Clinica (Argentina) during 2002 and 2003. Also as Secretary of Executive Committee of WAC, in 2009, as a member of the World Allergy Organization Emerging Societies Program Council between 2013 and 2015 and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Latinoamerican Society of Asthma and Allergy, Asthma and Inmnunology in 2013 and 2014 . She has been part of many other allergy and asthma associations.
Currently she is a member of the Asthma Commitee of the World Allergy Organization (WAO), coordinator of the Asthma Committee of Latinoamerican Society of Asthma, Allergy and Inmunology, she is part of the Editorial Board of Asthma Research and Practice, and Editor at Large of the World Allergy Organization Journal.
Dr. Yañez has been elected as Member at Large to the WAO Board of Directors, for a four years term, starting in January 2018.
