Press Release 15 September 2011
Allergic rhinitis is a common condition worldwide that significantly impacts patient quality of life and presents a major economic burden to society.
The WAO Allergic Rhinitis Working Group is a worldwide initiative focused on raising awareness and sharing information on allergic rhinitis toward improved patient care. The initial goals of the Working Group are to:
1) gather educational and scientific materials on allergic rhinitis into a central repository for freely available worldwide access, and
2) provide interactive learning programs on allergic rhinitis in children and adults.
Coming in early 2012: Allergic Rhinitis: WAO Online Learning Modules with CME. This program will consist of two modules based on case histories, one involving allergic rhinitis in children and the other in adults. In a self-paced interactive program, participants will be able to move through the case histories and follow links to a number of resources available online about allergic rhinitis. This will be a free WAO program with universal access.
