Allergy Education and TrainingIntroductionThe World Allergy Organization's Specialty and Training Council members have wide expertise in local training and certification issues in allergy and clinical immunology. Council membership:Co-Chairs: In 2006, the Council published an important document, Requirements for Physician Training in Allergy: Key Clinical Competencies Appropriate for the Care of Patients with Allergic or Immunologic Diseases: A Provisional Position Statement of the World Allergy Organization. It provides guidance on the optimum content of training programs in allergy for all levels of physicians who see patients with allergic diseases. National Certification and Accreditation RequirementsHere you will find details of national allergy certification/accreditation/training requirements. Governments, health departments, member societies of the WAO and allergy training programs around the world can use them as resources and models for developing national training programs. University Accredited Educational Programs in AllergyThis section provides details of university accredited educational courses in allergy that offer internationally transferable credits and includes links to the Web sites of the providers.
