Anaphylaxis

WAO Special Committee on Anaphylaxis

The over-arching, long-term objectives of this committee are:

  • To educate physicians worldwide in the assessment and management of anaphylaxis,
  • To equip physicians with tools that will help in making the correct diagnosis and providing the most effective treatment for anaphylaxis
  • To create and raise awareness in patients toward improved management

In February 2011, the World Allergy Organization Anaphylaxis Guidelines were published concurrently in the WAO Journal and The Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology. The illustrated World Allergy Organization (WAO) Anaphylaxis Guidelines were created in response to absence of global guidelines for anaphylaxis.
