Pediatric Dermatology is a textbook that covers a wide spectrum of skin diseases in children.
This beautifully illustrated textbook provides a clear and comprehensive coverage of dermatological problems in children. It is well-organized and indexed in a problem-orientated fashion, making it easy to access information at the bedside.
The book is addressed to all clinicians with a special interest in the care of children with dermatological diseases. Medical students will also find this book interesting since it covers most skin diseases in children and explains their relevant features.
The outstanding feature of this book is the photography. While the text is succinct and easy to read, there are often multiple photos to illustrate different features of each disease. Additionally, the text is supplemented by helpful tables identifying the etiology, diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis or management of common skin diseases. Treatment of each specific disease is also very well systematized and up to date.
In summary, this is a very agreeable book with exceptional photographs. It is an excellent resource for reference or access information at the bedside. Any clinician who treats children will find this book a useful addition to one’s library.
