The World Allergy Congress 2007, in Bangkok, was a huge success.

The World Allergy Organization warmly wlecomes three new member societies who were voted in at the 2007 House of Delegates meeting during the World Allergy Congress in Bangkok, Thailand:

  • The Slovenian Association for Allergology and Clinical Immunology
  • The Honduran Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology
  • The Allergy & Immunology Society of Sri Lanka

This month's highlighted GLORIA Module is: Module 9 - Diagnosis of IgE Sensitization

This module reviews the specificity and sensitivity of the major diagnostic tests - skin testing and allergen-specific IgE antibody serology - that help to determine the pathological mechanisms underlying allergic symptoms.
