President's Message As we prepare for the upcoming WAO meetings to take place this month during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), we also have begun to implement plans for World Allergy Week 2013 (8-14 April). Last year, WAO discussed the theme of the "Rising global burden of allergic diseases and asthma" and promoted a multi-disciplinary, integrated approach to addressing the challenges. This year WAO has selected the theme of Food Allergy – A Rising Global Health Problem, for similar reasons. read more >> |

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Editor-in-Chief, World Allergy Organization Journal The World Allergy Organization is accepting applications and nominations for Editor-in-Chief of the World Allergy Organization Journal. The newly appointed Editor-in-Chief will work in this transition year with the current Editor-in-Chief, assuming full responsibility for the role on 1 January 2014. Candidates must be practicing allergists/immunologists and an individual member of a WAO Member Society with experience on the editorial board of a scholarly medical journal.
