WAO Centers of Excellence - 2014 Southampton
We are pleased to announce the WAO Center of Excellence for 2014 is Southampton Allergy Center.
Southampton has an international reputation for scientific and patient based research in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology. They have expertise in the clinical trials, epidemiology, diagnostic laboratory and scientific basis of food, drug, skin, eye, airway and pediatric allergies and have established cross disciplinary research programs that examine Life Course immunity. The three key physicians in the leading roles are Professor Hasan Arshad (Research lead), Dr. Anthony Williams (Clinical lead) and Dr. Judith Holloway (Education lead).

Dana Wallace, MD, who has served on the WAO Web Editorial Board as a Regional Editor, is now filling the newly established role of Deputy Editor, to focus on the develop and growing needs of the website and Web Editorial Board.
Dr. Wallace is associate clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida,USA,, and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. She is a private practitioner in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is associated with the Florida Center for Allergy and Asthma Care. Dr. Wallace chairs the Emerging Societies/ World Allergy Training School Committee for WAO. Dr. Wallace has been on the Joint Task Force on Practice Parameters (AAAAI, ACAAI, & JCAAI joint task force) since 2005 and was Chief Editor of the 2008 “The Diagnosis and Management of Rhinitis: An updated Practice Parameter." Dr Wallace is also the ACAAI Website Associate Editor.
WAO White Book on Allergy: Update 2013
The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is pleased to announce the WAO White Book on Allergy: Update 2013. The WAO White Book on Allergy Update 2013 provides evidence about the increasing prevalence of allergic diseases worldwide and offers “high level” recommendation for action on allergy education for health care professions and enhanced patient service provision.
