As you know, 2009 is a Congress year for WAO members, which includes the biennial House of Delegates meeting. WAO looks forward to welcoming delegates from all our Member Societies. Please be sure that your society is represented in the House of Delegates at WAC 2009 this December by being a Member in Good Standing. Please renew your membership today.

The WAO Henning Løwenstein Research Award 2009
Call for applicants
The WAO Henning Løwenstein Research Award is a biennial award given to a young scientist who has shown excellence within the field of allergy.
The award winner will receive €20,000 and a travel grant to attend the WAO Congress in Buenos Aires, December 6-10, 2009.

Patient Information Page
Now Online
The WAO Web site has begun to provide a growing list of links to Web sites in various languages that contain patient information about allergic diseases. The sources of these links include patient organizations, hospitals, clinics and allergy societies that offer these resources on their Web sites. Clinicians will be able to refer patients to this page, and the list also will be a resource to individuals as they search the Internet for patient information about allergic disease.
The list of links, which is searchable by country, region, and or language, will be continually expanded and updated in the goal of making this a global patient education resource. Congratulations to Dr. Bernard Thong, Regional Assistant Editor, for his leadership and work on this project! Many thanks to the WAO Member Societies who have been contributing to this project.
