XVII Congress of the Latin American Society of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (SLAAI) WAO was happy to have Professor Ruby Pawankar, WAO President, and Professor Lanny Rosenwasser, WAO President-Elect, deliver lectures at the Latin American Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (SLAAI) Congress which took place in Cartagena, Colombia on 24 to 26 October 2012. The main topic areas of the Congress included Allergic Respiratory Problems, Particular Regional Aspects, Food Allergy, Immunotherapy, Skin Allergies, Drug Allergy, Topics in Immunology, Allergy Diagnosis, and Miscellaneous. At the Special WAO Symposium, Professor Pawankar lectured on "Current concepts in the pathological mechanisms of nasal polyps", and Professor Rosenwasser lectured on "Small Airways and Asthma". Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology, and Immunology (APAPARI) The 2012 Congress of the Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology, and Immunology (APAPARI) was extremely successful. The Congress took place in Taiwan on 19 to 21 October. Over 850 attendees from 17 countries attended and shared knowledge regarding allergy, respirology, immunology and other related fields. WAO was delighted to host a Symposium at the Congress which consisted of Professors Ruby Pawankar, Lanny Rosenwasser, and Motohiro Ebisawa. |
