د. يحيى الجمل أستاذ بوحدة حساسية ومناعة الأطفال والرئيس السابق لقسم طب الأطفال بجامعة عين شمس ورئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية المصرية لحساسية ومناعة الأطفال والتى أسسها فى سنة 2002 ورئيس تحرير المجلة المصرية لحساسية ومناعة الأطفال وقد أسسها سنة 2003. حصل على دكتوراة طب الأطفال فى 1970 وانشأ أول وحدة متخصصة فى حساسية ومناعة الأطفال فى مصر والشرق الأوسط ملحقة بجامعة عين شمس فى 1988 وهى تشتمل علــى عيادة خارجية وقسم داخلى ومعمل لأبحاث وتحليلات المناعة.  له 99 بحثا ومقالة منشورين فى الدوريات العالميه والمحلية وعضو هيئة تحرير ومحكم بالعديد من المجلات الطبية بمصر والخارج. أشرف على 30 رسالة دكتوراة و81 رسالة ماجستير وشارك فى 112 مؤتمرا طبيا محليا وعالميا. عضو المجالس القومية المتخصصة بمصر وعضو بلجان التحكيم فى الجوائز التى تمنحها أكاديمية البحث العلمى والتكنولوجيا وتعلن الأكاديمية سنويا عن جائزه خاصة تحمل إسمه قيمتها 5000 جنيها مصريا تمنح للعلماء والباحثين فى مصر منذ عام 1989. زميل الأكاديمية الأمريكية للحساسية والربو الشعبى والمناعة منذ عام 1992 وعضو الأكاديمية الأوروبية للحساسية والمناعة الإكلينيكية منذ 2001 والكلية الأمريكية للحساسية والربو الشعبى والمناعة منذ 2007 وعضوا بكل جمعيات طب الأطفال المصرية. عضوا بمجلس إدارة الاتحاد الدولى لرؤساء أقسام طب الأطفال فى العالم ممثلا لقارة أفريقيا منذ 1998 وعضو المجموعة الفنية الاستشارية لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لدول شرق المتوسط منذ 2003. عمل أستاذا زائرا بمستشفى أطفال لوس أنجلوس جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا فى يونيو 1980. أنتخب مؤخرا عضوا بمجلس إدارة المنظمة العالمية للحساسية.

Professor of Pediatrics, Pediatric Allergy and Immunology Unit, and ex-chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. President of the Egyptian Society of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology (ESPAI) which he has founded in 2002 and editor-in-chief of The Egyptian Journal of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. He established the first specialized unit in pediatric allergy and immunology in Egypt in February 1988. It contains an outpatient clinic, an inpatient ward and an integrated immunology laboratory. Has 99 publications in national and international periodicals and is a member of the editorial board and regular reviewer of many national and several international journals. Supervised 30 PhD and 81 Masters Theses in pediatrics and shared in 112 congresses and scientific meetings. Member of several Egyptian National Specialized Councils and the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology grants a 5000 Egyptian pound distinction award carrying his name to scientists and researchers yearly since 1989. Fellow of the AAAAI since 1992 and affiliate member of the EAACI since 2001 and ACAAI since 2007 and member of all Egyptian pediatric societies. Member of the International Pediatric Chairs Association (IPCA) as representative of Africa since 1998 and member of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) of the WHO in the East Mediterranean region since 2003. He worked as a visiting professor in Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, USC in June 1980. He was recently elected as a WAO board member.

Maria Bova si è laureata nel 2001 in Medicina e Chirurgia con 110/110 e lode presso l’Università di Napoli. Presso la stessa università nel 2005 si è specializzata in Allergologia e Immunologia Clinica. Durante il periodo della specializzazione ha trascorso alcuni mesi come Postdoctoral Fellow a Baltimora (USA), presso il Dipartimento di Allergologia e Immunologia Clinica della Johns Hopkins University. Nel 2009 ha concluso con successo il Dottorato di Ricerca in Patofisiologia Clinica e Medicina Sperimentale presso l’Università di Napoli, difendendo una tesi sul trattamento dell’angioedema ereditario. Lavora dal 2006 come Dirigente medico presso il Dipartimento di Medicina Interna dell’ospedale di Sarno, e dal 2010 è consulente medico presso il CISI (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca in Scienze Immunologiche di Base e Cliniche) dell’Università Federico II di Napoli. Dal 2014 è Professore a contratto di Fisiopatologia delle Malattie Allergiche presso la Scuola di Specializzazione in Allergologia e Immunologia Clinica. Inoltre ha tenuto corsi di patologia generale e clinica presso la Scuola di Specializzazione in Medicina Generale e presso la Facoltà di Scienze Infermieristiche Pediatriche dell’Università di Salerno. E’ stata ricercatrice in alcuni studi clinici sull’approccio diagnostico e terapeutico nei pazienti affetti da angioedema ereditario da carenza di C1 inibitore. Ha numerose pubblicazioni su prestigiose riviste internazionali nel campo dell’allergologia e immunologia clinica.

Attualmente è membro di ITACA (Italian network for C1-inhibitor angioedema) e HAWK (Hereditary Angioedema Working Group), e membro della SIAAIC (Società Italiana di Allergologia, Asma ed Immunologia Clinica) e dell’EAACI (European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology).

Maria Bova graduated summa cum laude in 2001with an MD degree from the University of Naples. She received a specialization in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 2005 at the University of Naples. During this period she spent some months as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. In 2009 she received a PhD in clinical and experimental pathophysiology from the University of Naples focused on treating patients with hereditary angioedema. Since 2006 she has worked as a Medical Officer in the Internal and Emergency Medicine department at Villa Malta Hospital, Sarno, Salerno, and since 2010 she has acted as a Medical consultant at CISI (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca in Scienze Immunologiche di Base e Cliniche)- University of Naples Federico II.

She is a lecturer in the Physiopathology of Allergic Diseases for Specialization in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at University of Naples Federico II, and a general pathology lecturer for the general practitioner and pediatric nursing registered degree at the University of Salerno. She has been a co- investigator on many clinical studies of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to C1 inhibitor deficiency angioedema. She has several international publications in different prestigious journals in the field of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Currently, she is a member of ITACA, the "Italian network for C1-inhibitor angioedema”, and HAWK (Hereditary Angioedema Working Group), member of the "Italian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology", and she is also a member of the "European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology."
