In the WAO successful meeting, Hyderabad Convention Center received more than 1,000 people from all around the world. For the WAO Junior Members Group, the 2nd WAO International Scientific Conference (WISC 2012) had a special meaning: our group is growing and we are increasingly putting our thoughts into practice, working closely with the seniors in the WAO's proposals.

The WISC 2012 offered us an update and practical view of all severe allergies and asthma. In this enriching and amazing environment, we could share to not only new ideas for future projects but also try some Indian delicacies and typical music.

The WAO Junior Member Abstract reception was held in the Hall of the Hyderabad International Convention Center. We were honored with the talk of Prof Ruby Pawankar and Dr Silvia Sanchez-Garcia warmly welcoming and supporting all the Juniors. Several abstracts that had been submitted by juniors and selected by the Scientific Program Committee were presented during this special event. World allergy experts evaluated the posters during the meeting, and the authors were awarded during the reception. Junior Members received 2 awards on the 7 December at the Poster Session. The first was given to Veeresh K Patil, from UK, and the second to Anderson Phillip Jones, from Australia. Five Juniors received the WAO Travel Grant and the Outstanding Abstracts Awardees included 9 Juniors. Congratulations, Juniors! All the abstracts are available.

We have many plans for the next years, especially activities that will be part of the EAACI-WAO Congress 2013, to be held in Milan in June and of the next WISC 2014, in December in Rio de Janeiro. Prepare yourself!

I take this opportunity to thank all who have been supporting us particularly Prof. Ruby Pawankar, WAO President; Prof. Ignacio Ansotegui and Prof. Paul Potter, real group developers and the WAO Executive Committee and Board of Directors for giving us the opportunity to get involved in the organization. I also would like to thank our co-chairs Dr Matteo Bonini and Dr Silvia Sanchez-Garcia for representing us so well and the WAO staff (Sofia, Amanda and Megan). Definitely, none of these activities would be possible without your support.

As we can help develop allergy/immunology (A/I) resources for all of WAO's constituents and others interested in A/I, the family of WAO Junior Members warmly welcome all who meet the criteria to join us and get connected. Now, we are more than 300 members. Any level of participation is welcome! Join to the team!

Finally, I would like to congratulate all the juniors for your participation, for your initiative and enthusiasm and wish you all the best to 2013!

Let's get ready to meet in Milan!
