World Allergy Forum - Emerging Anti-Cytokine Therapies in Severe Asthma
Internationally known speakers on severe asthma presented to a full hall of delegates at the annual Congress of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) on 14 June 2016, at the Reed Messe Wien Congress Center in Vienna, Austria.
Prof. Mario Sanchez Borges, President of the World Allergy Organization, and Prof. Antonella Muraro, President of the EAACI, were Chairpersons of the symposium entitled, “Emerging Anti-Cytokine Therapies in Severe Asthma”. The forum was an initiative of the WAO Collaborative on Severe Asthma (COSA).
Dr. Thomas Casale spoke on “Cytokine Families and Receptors as Targets for Treatment in Severe Asthma”. Dr. Sally Wenzel spoke on “Cytokine Disruptive Therapies in Severe Asthma”, and Dr. William Busse spoke on “Eosinophilic Directed Therapies in Severe Asthma”.

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) Web Editorial Board is accepting applications and nominations for Regional Editor for the Asia-Pacific region. The newly appointed Regional Editor will help promote WAO’s mission and website at every opportunity to increase use of the site and contributions, to oversee online projects, and to make other contributions to the WAO website.
