President's Message

Dear Colleagues,

The regular registration rate deadline for WAC 2015 is quickly approaching on 31 August. You can register for the Congress here and registering by 31 August will save you $100 USD on your registration! We look forward to WAC returning to the Asia Pacific Region for the first time since our successful WAC in Bangkok in 2007. Join the representatives from over 65 countries for this truly international allergy, asthma and clinical immunology event.

XXIV World Allergy Congress (WAC 2015)

Send Us Your WAC 2015 "Selfie"!

WAO invites you and your colleagues to show the international nature of WAC 2015 by taking part in the WAC 2015 Selfie Campaign. All you need to do is take a selfie with the WAC 2015 selfie sign highlighting a local landmark and post the selfie on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram using the hashtags: #WAC2015Selfie and #WAC2015.

Once you have posted your photo using the hashtags, you will receive a private message with a discount code for registration to WAC 2015. You must register by 31 August to qualify.

Watch for your selfie during the WAC 2015 Opening Ceremony.

NEW SEVERE ASTHMA WEBSITE!

The WAO Collaborative on Severe Asthma (COSA) is pleased to announce the launching of their website at www.worldallergy.org/severe-asthma. The web pages house a growing searchable database of scientific article references that are related to severe asthma. The references include convenient links to the abstracts and articles that are available online. Dr Christina Ciaccio, Web Content Editor for the COSA pages, conducts a literature survey every month and posts summaries and article references. You can find a searchable list of WAO online educational resources. You can also view where the Collaborative on Severe Asthma will be presenting new information and view the members of the Core Steering Committee. The WAO Collaborative on Severe Asthma aims to provide a global platform for physicians and other healthcare professionals around the world to access to the most relevant scientific, clinical, and educational resources Severe Asthma.

The COSA website is sponsored through an unrestricted educational grant from Teva.
