Manana Chikhladze

Professor Manana Chikhladze is the Deputy Director of the National Institute of Allergology, Asthma & Clinical Immunology, Georgian National Academy of Sciences in Tskaltubo, Georgia, since 2001 and Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi, Georgia since 2014.

After finishing her studies at the University of Kutaisi in Georgia, Manana Chikhladze moved at the Institute of immunology, Moscow, Russia, Department of Clinical Immunology, then at the Medical University of Tbilisi, Georgia, where she completed her PhD studies and specialization in Immunology. She has authored several articles in international publications.

She has been an active member of societies: The World Immunopathology Organization (WIPO), International Society Immunorehabilitation, Georgian Association of Allergology, Immunology and Immunorehabilitology. She is also a member of the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and WAO's Education Committee. Currently she is a General secretary of the Georgian Association of Allergology & Clinical Immunology (GAACI). She is also an Editorial Board Member for the "Georgian Respiratory Journal" and "Journal of Allergy and Immunology". Manana Chikhladze has been elected as Member at Large to the WAO Board of Directors, for a four years term, starting in January 2020.
