Mission Statement: The Comprehensive Allergy Center Charité (CACC) provides state-of-the-art, patient-centered care for people with allergic diseases and advances translational allergy research and interdisciplinary education to improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment across all ages.
About the Center: The Comprehensive Allergy Center Charité (CACC) is a certified interdisciplinary allergy center at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, bringing together multiple clinical departments and research units to provide integrated care for patients with complex and severe allergic diseases. Our members include dermatology, pediatrics (pneumology and immunology), internal medicine with a focus on infectiology and pneumology, and other specialties such as occupational medicine, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology, sports medicine, and the Institute of Allergology. As a reference center, CACC offers advanced diagnostics and individualized treatment concepts based on current guidelines and cutting-edge research, including participation in clinical and real-world studies.
A close link between outpatient care, clinical trials, and experimental research enables rapid transfer of new findings into clinical practice. Education and training are central pillars of CACC’s activities: we offer regular scientific programs for medical practitioners, structured training for young clinicians and researchers, and information events for patients and families to strengthen allergy awareness and self-management. Through this collaborative and interdisciplinary approach, the CACC contributes to improving allergy care regionally, nationally, and internationally, and to developing innovative strategies for the prevention and long-term management of allergic diseases.
