New understanding of chronic urticaria pathogenesis - Speaker Highlights

Jonathan Bernstein, FACP, CCI, MD, Professor, Division of Allergy and Immunology Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Why do you like speaking/attending WAO conferences?
I enjoy speaking and attending the WAO meetings, as it affords me the opportunity of exchanging ideas/information to colleagues around the world. WAO is an excellent educational forum and has been an invaluable conduit for promoting the specialty of allergy worldwide.

What are you looking forward to at WISC 2016?
I am very excited about the scientific program which consists of highly acclaimed international experts who will be talking about a very broad spectrum of topics pertaining to basic, translational, and clinical allergy and immunology. Attending this year’s meeting in Jerusalem, Israel, a city that is so vibrant, historical and important to all nationalities, will be a very special experience for me.

What new findings or insights can attendees look forward to in your session?
My lecture will focus on the most recent advances as well as gaps in understanding the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria.
