World Allergy Week 2013

Welcome! Join us during World Allergy Week 2013 and increase awareness of Food Allergy—A Rising Global Health Problem. There are many ways you can participate, and we hope you will explore this website, returning often, as it will continue to change.

The World Allergy Organization (WAO) is addressing the need for greater awareness and understanding of food allergy as well as the exchange of ideas and collaboration in order to address a variety of safety and quality-of-life issues related to the care of patients with food sensitivity. Two press events by teleconference are planned for journalists regarding food allergy causes and concerns.

If you are a WAO Member Society, or an individual physician, planning to participate in World Allergy Week, you will find resources for your activities. In the Patient Advocacy section, there is information for those newly diagnosed or already suffering from food allergies, as well as for parents, families, teachers and caregivers of people suffering from food allergies.
