What inspired you to become more involved in WAO?
I had been involved as an officer with the Venezuelan Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and Latin American Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (SLAAI). I represented VSAAI at the WAO House of Delegates meeting and had the opportunity to learn about the organization and its activities. My main interest is to work for the benefit of allergic patients around the world through the education of my colleagues.

What would you like to share about the work of your national member society?
Currently, there are an increasing number of young and talented allergists/immunologists who are working for our specialty in Venezuela. Recently, they celebrated the 60th Anniversary of the Venezuelan Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

What is one of your current special interests in the field of allergy/immunology?
My main areas of research are: Urticaria and angioedema, Hypersensitivity reactions to drugs, Mite hypersensitivity, and Anaphylaxis.

Do you have any recent publications to share?
