The Argentinian Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (AAAeIC) held a World Allergy Training School (WATS) in Buenos Aires on 5 August during their annual congress.
WATS is part of the World Allergy Organization’s (WAO) Emerging Societies Program (ESP), with the objective to develop learning communities appropriate to a specific regional context while strengthening existing knowledge and skills for treating all allergic diseases. The WATS are made possible through the support of WAO and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (ACAAI).
The international WATS faculty included allergy experts from the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and Paraguay. Dr. Todd A. Mahr (United States), Prof. Pedro Giavina-Bianchi Jr., Prof. Jose Antonio Ortega Martell (Mexico), and Prof. Carlos Bello (Paraguay) participated in this WATS alongside the local organizers from the AAAeIC, Dra. Silvana B. Monsell and Prof. R. Maximilliano Gomez.
