We aim to serve the society with the highest level of healthcare and best patient experience in an integrated education and research setting. The institute's state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and collaborative research initiatives have created an environment conducive to fostering excellence in the medical field.

The Section of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology provides standard competence on professional medical services and research equivalent to the top medical institutions of the world. It is located in the capital city of Saudi Arabia and serves a diverse population of primary immune deficiencies and allergies for more than forty years. We proudly become one of the world’s leading centers for the treatment of patients with primary immunodeficiency (PID) and allergic diseases. This encompassed a comprehensive and extensive inpatient and outpatient care program, including allergic and immunological diagnostic testing; antibody replacement, immunotherapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Our services include inpatient, outpatient, and day-care services. Our section works in close collaboration with the hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) unit, providing the leading service for severe primary immunodeficiency in the area. This is considered one of the largest centers for HSCT for PID worldwide.

The section also provides care for complicated asthma and allergic disorders. The collaboration of health care professionals and researchers produces groundbreaking research describing novel primary immune deficiencies (PID) and innovative approaches to investigate and treat these conditions. We are committed to providing outstanding education experiences for the next generation of medical students, residents and clinical fellows in childhood disease prevention, management, research, and advocacy. We are proud that our practicing graduates are forming a solid network for ongoing support for patients and families with PID and allergies in Saudi Arabia.

The section is committed to sharing knowledge and expertise through regular academic activities, conferences and workshops. An effort to support public awareness and health promotion is conducted on a regular basis to advocate for patients with rare PIDs, hereditary angioedema and food allergies.
